U knw i knew of Tonio, but this year at kennedy thats when i really got to know him. In when we was in skool i would stop in talk to him, he alwayz had a smile on his face n i never once saw him mad or angry. Tonio alwayz made everybody laugh n smile in i guess that was just a part of his pimp jucie. Im glad i got to know him for as long as i did. I mean i still cant believe it. If I had 1 last chance to talk to Tonio my last words to him would’ve been to tell’m how I felt about our friendship and what he meant to me. So Tonio if u reading this, this is how I felt. I’m much honored to have met u at McK where it all kicked off for our relationship as good friends started and that I appreciate all the times u had my back when I thought I was up against the world by myself. I also loved when u would crack jokes just to get someone to smile and help them to get out of a funk of a mood when they needed it. And even though u and I didn’t kick as hard as u might have with others, when we did hang out u always put a smile on my face, especial when u talked about how much u were in love with my mom and how she was going to be your wife one day. Wat’s crzy about the whole thing is that I hve pics w/u n evry1 else but I dn’t remember takin the time 2 snap 1 of u n me, n naw I wish I wld hve. But I will ALWAYS hve the memories of u. Like when u were at JFK in we had 1st hr 2gether and how much u wld hve me rollin in dat class or how highly u spoke about Asia or ur sisters poetry. U no at times I wish that I would’ve been able to go to Asia party just to see ur face and that big smile of urs before u left us and went on HOME. Hicks Family, We were so sorry to hear of Antonio's passing. We lost our 18-month-old son, Linus, almost a year ago. He is buried in the Garden of Angels at Cedar Memorial. Even though our two sons died at very different ages, the feelings of loss are the same. We have found a lot of comfort in attending support groups. The one that would best fit your family would be Compassionate Friends in Dubuque because most of the parents lost teenage to adult children. Please know that our thoughts are with you through this long and difficult journey.
