Juanita J. Weis, 80, a resident of Crestview Acers in Marion, passed away peacefully Sunday January 18, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center following a long illness. Services: 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Good News Baptist Church, 1203 Third Ave SW, where friends may call after 10:00 a.m. The Pastors Robert C. Pleiness and Thomas Osterkamp Jr. will officiate. Burial: Campbell Cemetery, Bertram. Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Juanita is survived by her husband, Floyd Henry Weis of Cedar Rapids; two sons, Herman A. Klith (Christine) and Thomas J. Klith (Christine) of Cedar Rapids; three daughters, LaConna J. Callihan of Philadelphia, Pa, LaVonna L. Klith Marti (Robert) and LaRetta E. Klith Osterkamp (Thomas) of Cedar Rapids; her brother, Thomas Blake (Wanda) of Marion, Iowa; sister, Myrtle Stoneking of Carlinville, Illinois; grandchildren, great grandchildren, step child, Dean Weis and friend Debbie Pizel of Cedar Rapids.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Betty (LeHew) Harbet; and stepson, Neil Weis.

Juanita Janet Blake was born November 20, 1928, the daughter of Frank Milton and Ruby Carolyn (Stoneking) Blake. Her early years were spent in the Mt. Vernon / Lisbon areas and the family moved to Marion and later Cedar Rapids.

She married Richard Callihan in 1945, they had one child and later divorced. She later married Herman Klith on September 30, 1950 had four children and later divorced. On July 31, 1977 she was united in marriage to Floyd Henry Weis.

Juanita had been employed by Turner Microphone Co. in Cedar Rapids until it closed October 30, 1979. She enjoyed her work there and spending time with her family.

Juanita was a member of Good News Baptist Church. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother to everyone around her. She will be deeply missed by all because of her love for life and the Lord.
