Norman L. Graham, 86, of Cottage Grove Place died there on Friday Jan. 16, 2009 after a short illness. Memorial services at 3:00 PM on Thursday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories where friends may call after 2:00 PM on Thursday. Rev. Daniel Krueger will officiate. Inurnment at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include three daughters, Janet (Lee) Appleget of Hiawatha, Ginni (Ken) Kolek of Central City and Debbie Gordon of Allen, Texas; a son Chuck (Kim) of Rochester, MN. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Crystal, Joshua, Aaron, Brittney and a step grandchild, Adam. He was preceded in death by his wife and a grandson, Brent Ryan.
Norman was born on May 30, 1922 in Delphos, Kansas, the son of Cyrus and Beryl Price Graham. He graduated from Kansas State in 1944. He married Esther C. Hall on Feb. 4, 1945 in Manhattan, Kansas. She died in 2005. Norman was an electrical engineer at Rockwell-Collins for over 37 years, retiring in 1988. He was an avid ham radio operator, enjoyed working on his farm and proudly served in the Army Signal Corps during WWII. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Norman’s name.
