Robert Glenn Thomas was born May 25, 1924 in Cedar Rapids, the son of Glenn H. and D. Ruth (DeLong) Thomas. He served in the United States Air Force during WWII for four years, and served in the reserves for 20 years with his final rank as Master Sergeant. He was married to the love of his life, Judy, on December 1, 1967. He was employed for 39 years as the Manager of Office Services at Penford Products.

Bob enjoyed playing cards and being outdoors whether it was camping, fishing, hunting or walking. Fishing was especially dear to Bob who was taught by his mom and passed down his secrets to his kids and grandkids. His family was his greatest joy. He will forever be remembered as a kind man who welcomed conversation with anyone. We will miss his silliness, bear hugs and stories.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Bob’s name.
