Mercedes F. Pfiffner

With deepest sympathy in the loss of Merce. I do not remember much from when we were neighbors, however, Merce always had a bright, warm smile and I always enjoyed a nice conversation with her when I would see her at the Sweet Corn Festival or HyVee. I know she will be missed dearly as she touched and enhanced so many lives. Memories are forever, hold them close to your hearts always. With sympathy- Deb Nachazel-Olsen

Dear Kraig, Katie & family, My deepest sympathy to all of you. Please know our prayers are with you and hope that your faith will guide you through this difficult time. I refer back to a card you sent me when my own mother passed and it read," Those we hold closest to our hearts never truly leave us...". Maybe this phrase can hold comfort for you as well. Thank you for your friendship in the past and please know of our continued prayers for you and your family. June Hermsen

Family, I want to tell you that your Mom was always a role-model for me. Her faith, homemaking and love for Dan and her children always spoke to my heart and I tried to model my life after her. Because of her, our lives were better. I can only imagine what a joyous reunion took place on Tuesday morning. I love you all, Roe

Our thoughts & prayers are for Merce and all of her wonderful family at this time. We know that there is rejoicing and celebrating in heaven as she is greeted by Daniel & all of her family & loved friends who have preceded her. Our memories date back many years and we are most impressed by her love & devotion to her family & church. We will always remember the care & loving consideration she gave to all who knew her & the great memories of her humor. We love you Merce.

It was a true honor to sing for Merc. I have many happy memories of visiting with her at Hy-Vee (where she also always convinced me to buy whatever item she was sharing samples of). Merc brought a smile to everyone she shared hers with...something we should all aspire to do. I was honored to sing at the liturgy celebrating her life. Your are all in my prayers. Marcia

I still remember well the day that Merce welcomed Sister Helen and I to her kitchen, to show us how to make her delicious Italian meatballs and spaghetti. She not only gave us the recipe but took the time to show us how to make it. A wonderful, caring person.

I was out of town when Merc passed away so this symmpathy card is belated. I knew Merc in high school and many times at church affairs. Indeed she was a great lady. My sympathy to all her family Gloria McCarthy

To all the family: Our sincere condolences to you on the passing of dear Mercedes. May she rest in peace and have a happy eternity..!! May Our Lord Bless each of you with His Spirit of Comfort and Consolation. She was a great lady who we truly enjoyed knowing for so many years. She was "gifted" in so many ways that it would be hard to list them all at this time. May all the wonderful memories she implanted in each of you help to fill the void left by her passing. We are sorry we were not able to attend any of the services for her. Our prayers will be with you in the coming days, weeks & months as you adjust to her physical absence, but may her beautiful spirit bless each of you each day. God's Blessings.!
