Dear Family: Carol will always be remembered as a devoted and knowledgeable staff member who would diligently work to find an answer for any question that arose. She was very intelligent and an asset to the office. I also came to know Carol as a kind and thoughtful person. Her illness did not lessen that and she showed courage in meeting all the obstacles that confronted her. She will be missed by those who knew her. My condolences to you all.

Derek, Ida, Anita and Barbara - I thoroughly enjoyed knowing Carol and working with her at New York Life. We have stayed in contact as she was my Mary Kay lady. When I talked to her in November, I knew she was going back to Iowa City to get the results of her latest treatments. I should have followed up and would have soon because I didn't receive a Christmas card from her. She was always so positive through all of this. Her faith carried her through a difficult fight. Dearest Derek & Tanya, your mother truly was an angel here on earth and you know that I loved her.
