Dear Family: Carol will always be remembered as a devoted and knowledgeable staff member who would diligently work to find an answer for any question that arose. She was very intelligent and an asset to the office. I also came to know Carol as a kind and thoughtful person. Her illness did not lessen that and she showed courage in meeting all the obstacles that confronted her. She will be missed by those who knew her. My condolences to you all.

Derek, Ida, Anita and Barbara - I thoroughly enjoyed knowing Carol and working with her at New York Life. We have stayed in contact as she was my Mary Kay lady. When I talked to her in November, I knew she was going back to Iowa City to get the results of her latest treatments. I should have followed up and would have soon because I didn't receive a Christmas card from her. She was always so positive through all of this. Her faith carried her through a difficult fight. I pray you will feel God's presence and peace in knowing she is healed and well and smiling and looking just as beautiful as ever! I miss her already! Linda Silver

Carol was most helpful to me when she was secretary at the New York Life office. She was conscientious, and thorough. In addition, she was someone who cared. I was very sorry when she got sick and retired. My condolences to all of the family. I know she will be missed by many. Best regards, Dick Watson

Dearest Derek & Tanya, your mother truly was an angel here on earth and you know that I loved her. She was one of the most loving, caring, deeply spiritual and strong in faith people I have ever known. She had a quiet strength that was enviable and I know that she touched more lives than she ever could have imagined. I ached for all of her struggles throughout her illness and I now rejoice that she is happy, healthy and resting comfortably in God's loving arms. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you both and while we all will miss her so much, I know that she is now rejoicing and at peace! Love & hugs to you both and to the rest of the family. Jan

Dear Family of Carol's. Our hearts go out to you in love and sympathy. Carol was a friend and a classmate of mine (Shirley) and I will always remember her as being so kind and always smiling. She always looked so fresh and neat even after playing a game of volleyball or basket ball. We pray that you will sense God's comfort during this difficult time.
