Mary Mardell Emig

Dear Family, I felt great sadness when I received the call about Grandma. I was very blessed to have been welcomed into her home and family events for many years. I know she was a woman of deep faith and has been reunited with Grandpa and Jim. Keep her memory in your hearts and may God Bless you all. Diana Emig

Well...this is a part I really dont like...the good-byes not only to my people but to thier family. When Gina called me about Mardell she said.."now this one handle w kid gloves...she doesnt want anyone there really." So I was nervous, sat down, played w Mitsy.. asked her where she was originally from...and when we found out we knew alot and I mean alot of the same people, Mrs. French was one...and we both liked to cook thats all it took! I had a new wonderful friend! I listened to all her stories, she luved her chocolate...her tea,Mitsy... but most of all her family. She was very proud of all of u, she told me stories of when she was pg w u boys and joked on how she could have went inside, had the baby and went back out 2 work! So many stories..I'll miss hearing them and seeing Mardell, she never forgot to say thank you even when she was feeling bad, she was a very proud lady! I just want to thank you for letting me into your home...your lives and sharing your mom w me, that is a part I luv, so many people to meet, so many stories to hear, so much laughter and smiles to share. This is what memories r made from and they go on and on! Mitsy and Charlie....I'll miss u too.

To the Emig sons and families - I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. Your dad and mom were always so gracious and good to visit when they would meet up with my parents, Paul and Marie Wenger. There are also many memories of the Central City neighborhood when you all lived out there. We had a wonderful group of people who worked hard and cared greatly for their children. We were blessed to have these folks with us this long and to leave such a great history. May you find comfort from our Good Lord and it will come in time.
