Wilbert “Bill” E. Ward, 85, of 3012 – 30th Street Drive SE, died at the Dennis & Donna Hospice House of Mercy, Tuesday, December 9, 2008, after a long illness. Services: 5 p.m. Friday at
Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel by the Rev. Steve Benton of Faith Bible Church, Robins. Private Burial: Aspen Grove Cemetery, Burlington. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Friday. Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Bill is survived by wife, Joan; children, Sandra, Wilberta, and Mark Ward; and first wife, Patricia.

He is also survived by four grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; and his sisters and brothers.

Bill was born on June 28, 1923 in rural Benton County to Peter and Caroline Kimm Ward. He was a truckdriver for over 40 years, retiring in 1984. He married Joan Houts on August 12, 2000 in Robins. He was a member of Faith Bible Church.
