Sandra Barnard Moffitt, 70, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, December 06, 2008, at the Richardson Regional Medical Center, Richardson, Texas, after a long illness. There will be no services. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Sandra is survived by her husband, Richard; her mother, Pauline Barnard of Richardson,Texas; and her brother, Albert (Patricia) Barnard of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Barnard Sr.

Sandra was born on May 15, 1938 in Cedar Rapids. She graduated from Franklin High School in 1956 and attended Barnard College, New York City, in 1957-1958. She worked for Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids, and then worked her way up to Director of Personnel/Payroll for HallMark Electronics in Dallas, Texas, over a 23 year period. She loved Las Vegas and went with Richard two to three times a year.

Instead of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
