Virginia M. Lichtenwalner, 80, of 4905 Montclair Dr. NW, died Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at her home following a long illness. Memorial services will be held at 3 PM Friday in Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Rev. Mark Reasoner of St. Jude’s Catholic Church will officiate. Inurnment in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel after 2 PM on Friday. Arrangements by Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.

Survivors include two daughters Eugenia Ebel (Significant Other Charles Bean), and Terri Ann Clark (Significant Other Ed Beebe), all of Cedar Rapids, a sister Alvina Schutkoske of Menasha, Wisconsin, a brother Michael (Joan) Waldoch of Neenah, Wisconsin, a sister-in-law Roberta Waldoch of Menasha, Wisconsin, two grandchildren Belinda Ebel and Cole Clark both of Cedar Rapids, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, two brothers Eugene (Elsie), and Chester Waldoch, sister Rita Brux, and brother in law Gerald Schutkoske.

Virginia was born February 29, 1928 in Rosholt, Wisconsin, to Alex and Lucy Trzebiatowski Waldoch. She first married Herbert Ebel on August 25, 1951 in Menasha, Wisconsin. He died on December 31, 1953. She married Robert Lichtenwalner October 8, 1966 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He died September 22, 1988. For many years Virginia taught in home Pre School and provided child care to numerous children. She was a member of St. Jude’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed her dolls and bears, reading, gardening, and knitting.
