Here in the Mid Atlantic States we were very blessed to have worked with Maidul for several years. Maidul was a very smart, hard working, thoughtful man with fantastic people skills. He had a can do attitude about everything and we all looked forward to interacting with him regardless of the size of the task or the complexity of the request. We will miss him dearly. He was a very good man. On behalf of all of us who worked with him in the east, our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and his family.

My thoughts and prayers with the family and friends of Maidul. "For what is it to die but to stand naked in the wind and to melt into the sun? And what is it to cease breathing, but to free the breath from its restless tides, that it may rise and expand and seek God unencumbered? Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing. And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb. And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance." --Khalil Gibran The Prophet

We were shocked and saddened to hear the news. It was clear to us how much Maidul loved his pets and it has been our pleasure to take care of them. We will miss seeing him come in with them, he really was a great guy!!!! Our thoughts are with the Islam family. Your friends at Heartland Animal Hospital.

Maidul was a wonderful person. I have become so impressed with his kindness, love of animals and sense of responsibility to his family that I have come to know over the years. God must have needed a really remarkable angel by His side this week to take such a wonderful soul. I will miss Maidul and his smiling face in the halls of Yellowbook and behind the bar at Red Lobster.

The picture here truely reflects Maidul perfectly. Everytime I was in a bad mood and Maidul was around instantly he changed my day with that smile and laugh just like the one captured in that picture. Maidul was a great person that had love for everyone, a great sense of humor, and could make anyone laugh. It's hard to believe that such a great man is no longer with us, but just knowing Maidul has enriched my life. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Having known Maidul for only about four years, I have been blessed to encounter such a kind, caring, humorous soul as his. I remember the team outings from work where we rented a pontoon boat and enjoyed an afternoon on Lake McBride, or when we all went to Granite City for drinks, appetizers and laughter after a hard day's work. Maidul was always upbeat, willing to help anyone with a question or problem and was always a pleasure to speak with, whether the subject was dogs, music or work. As a fellow Coe alumnist, I know that the Coe community has lost a one-of-a-kind individual who inspired many of his coworkers and friends by setting an example of what can be accomplished with determination, hard work and a great sense of humor. We were lucky to be graced by his presence and the world will not be the same without Maidul's familiar nod and smile. Those of us that knew him will cherish his memory as we take a little bit of his soul with us through the journey of the rest of our lives. Goodbye, Maidul. May you rest in peace, my friend.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Maidul, especially at such a young age. His smile brightened the halls of Yellowbook and we will always remember seeing him dress as Captain Morgan in the costume contest for Halloween. I didn't work directly with him but occasionally our paths would cross when he needed a book from my department. God bless you all and take care.

My thoughts and prayers to Maidul's family in this tough time. I only scratched the surface of getting to know Maidul working with him at Rockwell. He was an extremely hard worker at Rockwell and would never let himself get down...hed had great pride in his work. He was an outstanding individual, the type that you will never forget no matter how long you've known him. Seems he had the same effect on many others. Even though I wish I had spent more time getting to know him, I'm thankful for the short opportunity I had. God Bless Chris Fonck

I worked with Maidul at Mike McGrath's and always enjoyed his sense of humor. We both started at the dealership around the same time so we endured the trials of being a new salesman together. Maidul was one of the rare people in this world that leave such a wonderful impression on those they cross paths with. I wish we all had more time with Maidul. I find peace in knowing that eventually we'll see each other again.

I have so many happy memories of hanging out with Maidul when we were roomates freshman year. Maidul had such a kind heart, and I don't think he had a mean bone in his entire body. Although we did love to tease Ryohei and Zach in good fun! My favorite was when Maidul and I teased Zach about how male gymnastics wasn't actually a sport. It turned into a pretty passionate conversation that Maidul and I had little interest in, yet we were saying everything we could possibly think of to intensify the debate with Zach. Maidul and I would always laugh about that whenever we hung out! I miss him even though we hadn't hung out in a few years. My thoughts and prayers are with Becky and also his mother and younger brother. Maidul was so proud of his brother. Always talking about how talented a drummer he was. And I know Maidul got much of his kindness from his mom, who was thoughtful enough to send me an awesome fleece from Bangladesh that I still wear to this very day. I will think of all of those great memories every time I put on that fleece.

I went to school with Maidul back in Bangladesh, and we were classmates for several years. We had not been in touch since we both graduated from high school and went our separate ways. I only just found out his passing away, and I am really saddened by it. Maidul had a very charming personality, and he easily made friends. The world is worse off with his untimely death.
