** Robert G. Ritchison, 71, of 1723 4th Ave. SE. died Sunday Sept. 7, 2008 at his home after a brief illness. Graveside services with military rites at 1:00 PM on Thursday at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. William Harnish will officiate. Friends may call after Noon on Thursday at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include his brother, Richard and his wife, Carmen of Cookeville, Tennessee. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bob was born on April 12, 1937 in Iowa City, the son of Cleon and Arlene Null Ritchison. He worked in the packaging dept. at Quaker Oats for 11 years. He enjoyed playing his guitar, harmonica, dancing, his pets and riding his motor cycle. Bob proudly served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War.
