To The Erusha Family

I was very sorry to read about Vern. It was always a pleasure to see him come in at work. I did not know that he loved to farm, but now I know why he always asked how my tomatoes were in my garden. I will miss him much. He was always a bright light in my day when he came in at Iowa Eye

Dear Erusha Family,
Sorry to hear of your loss. I still remember some of the good ole'times we had when we were kids on the farm and one-room school house by Amana. Thought of those times often over the years and how everyone was growing up. Also loved Mrs. Schulte as our teacher. Vernon was a good neighbor to our family. My thoughts and prays are with you.
With sympathy,

We are very sorry to hear of Vern's passing. We have been fairly close for many years, since 1967, I believe. This has been in business and personal. Actually Vern helped us sell our home on Coralville Lake, and to buy the home in which we are now living. We are sorry that we will not be able to be with you at this time of your sorrow.

My love and prayers to the Erushas! Vern was my boss about 14 years ago, he was patient and detailed and I'm grateful to have learned everything I did from him. Especially the short cuts he showed me, (going the wrong way on a one way for half a block to cross 3rd Ave) to save time. :O) I will miss him!! Will NEVER forget him.

I'm sorry to hear about Vern, I enjoyed running in to him at lunch and at football games to talk about farming and stocks. He was a very interesting man to talk to. Our prayers are with you all.

My sincere sympathies to your family. Vern was our realtor when we bought our first house. We were short money, so Vern lent us $1500 dollars for a year with no interest and no note.
We never forgot his kindness and trust. The world is short a good man.

Vern took me under his wing in Real Estate 19 years ago and taught me all I know. I was proud to have him spend so much time with me and then always greeting me with a hug everytime I saw him in the last 19 years. I will greatly miss this truely wonderful man. Bless the family and my thoughts and prayers are with you in your loss

Uncle Vernon was a very special person who was dearly loved by all who met him. He will be greatly missed. I will always remember him for how kind he was to me and for his bear hugs which would make my back crack all they way up and down my spine. My thoughts and prayers are with you Aunt Rose and all your family.

I work for Mercy Home Care and I wanted to let Vern's family know what a privilege it was that I got to know Vern. He was so wise, and such a wonderful man. I could sit and listen to him for hours, which on several occasions, I did. He had a wonderful sense of humor and made me laugh so often. He will be missed.

Although I had not seen him in years, the Erusha's were always a big part of the many family gatherings of my childhood and so he is a part of my happy memories.
