Dear Cousins, I'm so sorry for your loss. Wish I could have made it to the funeral but I was tied up here in Georgia. My favorite memory of Aunt Leona is vague because I was so young. But I know that "Pickles" was there and we were playing and I think it was at your house. Your mom was making fried chicken. The good, greasy old fashioned kind. I remember we kept getting under her feet in the kitchen and she sent us packing. But boy when that chicken was done, did we eat. Love to all of you. Lisa, Mike and Jonah.

I would like to share some thoughts on the up and coming Anniversary of My Mothers passing. I LOVED her very much She was a source strengeth to anyone who knew her. As said before she stood through many storms and battles and yet she survive, as no other person I know.....I for one, learned many lessons of LIFE from her. She may have not been there as we were growing, but she was doing her best to keep HER FAMILY together (some may not agree). She did take care of her Responisblities, this is one of those lessons I learned, and I couldn`t thank her enough for this. It is one of those things you don`t think to say Thank You till it`s to late, it went unsaid, but I did tried to show her thru my life and the raising of my children the lesson was taught. We as huamn admire others for different reasons, but to say this was MY MOM, and I admired her is the greatest statment ones child could say about their Parnet.....OXOXOXOXO........... It has been almost 2 years since you've been gone n not a day goes by that I dont think of you. The pain is still there, the hurt is most diffeently still there, BUT as the time goes on, MOM, you will always be missed. The hurt and pain and all the uglyness will go away over time.
