Keith A. Albaugh, 72, of Cedar Rapids and most recently a resident of Willow Gardens Care Center in Marion, died Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha following a lengthy illness. Services: 1:00 P.M. Friday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. The Rev. Ronald Connerly of New Beginnings Church will officiate. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home on Thursday from 4PM to 8PM.
Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years Ada; three sons, Gary Donna of Cedar Rapids, Gregory Kristi of Sigourney and Bradley Tammy of Marion; nine grandchildren, Troy, Keri, Bryan, Tori, Taylor, Brady, Brent Brianna, Dustin and Tara; and two brothers, Ronald of Mechanicsville and Wallace Trudy of Marion.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Arthur and Dorothy Albaugh; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Albaugh and Brenda Albaugh.
Keith was born May 8, 1936 in Mechanicsville the son of Arthur H. and Dorothy E. Graft Albaugh. He graduated from Mechanicsville High School in 1954. He married Ada M. Osborne on November 18, 1955 in Cedar Rapids. Keith was employed by Rockwell Collins as a lab technician, retiring in 1991 after 37 years of service. He was a member of New Beginnings Church and had a strong Christian faith. He was a 35 year member of the Cedar Rapids Elks Lodge #251. Keith enjoyed sports, vacationing and spending quality time with his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all. Keith's family would like to thank the staff at Willow Gardens Care Center for the passionate care they gave to Keith, Mercy Medical Center for his excellent care over the last several years and St. Luke's Hospice and Mercy Hospice House for their special care in Keith's final days.
A memorial fund has been established by the family.
