Ina Mae Eschen, 76, of 5421 Wyoming Dr. SW, died Sunday July 6, 2008 in West Ridge Care Center following a long illness. Services: 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories by the Rev. Thomas Carver of Shueyville United Methodist Church. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Intombment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include a daughter, Darlene Dale Kilpatrick, four sons, Gary L. Eschen, Terry L. Eschen, Thomas L. Eschen all of Cedar Rapids, and Everett L. Julie Eschen of North Liberty. Surviving also are her siblings, Audrey Cook, Ellen Harris, Ramona Peterson, Marita Wilder, Zelda Andersen, Loretta Wright, Robert Franck and Maynard Franck, and 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Ina was preceded in death by her husband Lee Eschen, grandson, Dustin Eschen, siblings, Merwin, Eugene, Janice, Lettica and Lanora.
Ina was born September 6, 1931 in Buchannan County the daughter of Robert and Jennie Oldridge Franck. Ina was united in marriage to Lee E. Eschen on January 27, 1950 in Independence. Iowa. She was employed at Collins Radio from 1955-1991. In her spare time she enjoyed selling Tupperware for 28 years. She was a loving mother, wife and grandmother and will be missed by her family and friends, tribute to the Eschen
In Lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established by the family.
