Kathleen Sedlacek Desmarais
Roger and family, Kay was such a wonderful, classy, gracious, Godly woman - I could go on and on with attributes. The friendship she and Roger had with my parents is one to treasure. The suddenness of this grieves me but I know we will be reunited in heaven again one day. Prayers are with you.

I was so saddened to hear of Kay's passing. My sincerest sympathies to Roger and the family. You were so lucky to have her in your life. I first met Kay when I worked with Roger many years ago at South Tama High School. I ended up following Roger & Kay to Cedar Rapids not long after his retirement. Who knew that Kay and I would both end up working at Mercy! Every time I stopped in the Mercy Gift Shop Kay had a warm hello for me. She was always so thoughtful to inquire of my 'boys'. What a sweet, kind lady. Mercy and I will miss her dearly! My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dear Uncle Roger, Bill, Carol, Susan and Julie, I wish that I could have come up either on Friday or to the funeral. Please know that ever since Dad told me that Aunt Kay had passed away, you have been in my thoughts and prayers. Aunt Kay always had a smile and a hug for everyone! I will be with you in thoughts and prayers tomorrow and the days to come. Love, Denise
