Rebecca S. Prignitz, 55, of 248 Jacolyn Dr. NW. died Sunday April 6, 2008 at St. Lukes Hospital after a short illness. Services at 1:00 PM. on Thursday at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. Rev. Randy Kasch will officiate. Burial at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 4 to 8 PM on Wednesday.
Survivors include two sisters, Teresa Wagner and Laurie Prignitz; two brothers, David Connie Prignitz and Timothy Mary Prignitz all of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by 4 nephews, Matthew, Daniel, Andrew and Casey, one niece, Crystal and two great nieces, Rosella and Annabelle. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Becky was born on Nov. 11, 1952 in Lake City, the daughter of Wayne and Rosella Knochenmus Prignitz. As a young girl Becky was a member of the Blue Birds and Camp Fire Girls. She worked at Options of Linn County for many years and was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. She enjoyed pizza, pop and watching the Chicago Cubs. Memorial donations may be given to Discovery Living in Becky's name. The family would like to give special thanks and love to the staff and residents at Discovery living, Pastor Randy and Kathy at Gloria Dei.
