Susan L. Church Buchanan Adam, 61, 403 East 8th St, Vinton passed away Sunday, March 31, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital following a long illness. Susan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and daughter.
Susan was born November 2, 1946 in Marshalltown the daughter of Boyd and Rose Swearingen Church. She married Stephen M. Adam on January 28, 1999 in Cedar Rapids. Susan was vice-president and general manager in her long time career in radio.
Survivors are her husband Steve; three daughters, Wendy Buchanan of Plaquemine, LA, Brittany and Stephanie Adam both of Vinton; a son, Toby Buchanan of Dubuque; her parents, Boyd and Rose Church of Marshalltown; two grandchildren, Emerson Buchanan and Andrew Goedken; her beloved aunt, Helen Philipp; and a daughter-in-law, Rhonda.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Church.
Services: 1:00 P.M. Friday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, where friends may call from 11 AM until time of the service. The Rev. William Harnish will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
