Ruth Ann Fernandez, 77, of 3404 Queen Dr. SW went to her heavenly home on March 17, 2008. Services: 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church by the Rev. Jonathon Offt. Visitation will be today at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel from 4-7 p.m. and after 12:00 p.m. at the church on Thursday. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Survivors include two daughters, Cathy Burgess Jim of Cedar Rapids and Priscilla Stamp of Loveland, CO; a son, Wesley R. Fernandez of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Joyce Kroul Lloyd of Amana; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; parents; one brother; and one sister.

Ruth Ann Fernandez was born on May 6, 1930 to Edwin and Minnie Stohlman Hudepohl near Williamsburg. She received her education at St. Paul's Lutheran School and Williamsburg High. Ruth married Robert R. Fernandez on November 8, 1952. She enjoyed traveling, needlework, reading, and her home. Ruth was very active at Trinity Lutheran Church. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her beloved treasures.
