I will always remember JW coming up and singing with me at the Elks. He had a very nice voice and he harmonized with me while I sang. I remember The 4 Of Us playing for his Purple Ball, also. He was a wonderful gentleman. I have been playing piano at the Elks Lodge for 18 years. My sincere condolences to Kathryn and your family. David Poggenklass, Guttenberg, Iowa

IT WAS SAD TO READ THE PAPER THIS AM THAT JR PASSED AWAY. WE WORKED TOGETHER FOR A FEW YEARS IN THE 80'S AT 1ST AVE CHRYSLER. HE WAS ALWAYS VERY PROUD OF HIS CHILDREN AND TALKED OF YOU THREE OFTEN. I GUESS THE THING I'LL REMEMBER OF JR THE MOST IS HIS SINGING ABILITY. HE HAD A VERY VERY GOOD SINGING VOICE AND THE SONG I CATCH MYSELF SINGING SOMETIMES AND HE COMES TO MIND IMMEDIATLEY IS "CATTLE CALL SONG" BY EDDY ARNOLD. HE WOULD BE WALKING THRU THE SHOP SINGING IT NOT KNOWING HOW WE WERE ALWAYS LISTENING TO HIM. I KNOW YOUR MOTHER IS NOT DOING WELL FROM WHAT I HAVE HEARD AND WANT TO SINCERELY TELL YOU HOW FOND OF JR I WAS. MY THOUGHTS ARE WITH YOU, AND JR IS SINGING AT THE BIG SHOW NOW.

I'm so sorry to hear of Jr's passing. I remember the days when our families would get together. I know my Dad enjoyed the visits with his cousin. And, I just know they are visiting right now and talking about fishing! He will always be in your hearts. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless.

You already know this, but Junior meant the world to us and our family. He was always willing to help with anything, anywhere, anytime. I particularly remember our camping trips when we were young. In later years, what sticks in my mind, is his connection with animals - dogs & of course, bumble bees! We will surely miss him, however I'm sure my Dad is happy to see him on the other side. You know how close our parents were. Much sympathy & love to you all.
