John J. Pink

To the entire Pink family, you have my deepest sympathy. What a great man. I remember him from the St. Matthew's & Regis days going to school with most of you. I will pray that God gives you strength & comforts you during this tough loss.

Jack did a great job for Amana! I recently contacted him for help in laying out an Amana Museum entitled "History of Amana Refrigeration & Memories of George Foerstner". But his health did not permit.I remember when we hired him at Amana. With fond memories I am Wayne Giddings.

To all the Pink family I am so sorry to hear about your loss. As an "adopted" member of the family during our Regis years. Laura, Alison, and I definitley tested the gentle giant on occasion. I also remember him sitting at the head of the table during meals and leading us in prayer before we ate. He was quiet and loving and enjoyed his family and their friends immensly. Arveda and John were always there with an open door whenever anyone needed it. I truly have the fondest memories of hanging out on the patio and swimming in the pool and laughing with this wonderful family on many occasions while growing up. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all. Steph

Am sure you will all miss him but guess none of us know when our time is up. Am sure you have many wonderful memories of your good times you had together throughout the years. Just have faith and the good Lord with help you get through these trying days ahead. Again our thoughts & prayers are with you all.

Laura and Family, We are all just visitors to this "earth-school". Our true home we return to when our days and lessons are accomplished. Those left behind feel sadness because we lose day to day contact with someone we love. We hope you will find solace though in knowing, Jack, your Dad, has returned safely home. I worked with Jack at Amana for a number of years. He was one of the nicest people to work with. His creativity contributed in large part to the success of many products that Amana produced. His warm personality encouraged all who knew him to do more / be more in all they did. Jack was honest and forthright in his thoughts and stood for what he knew to be the right thing. I'm so glad I came to count him as friend. God Bless you and Keep you during this time of grief and with Jack's memory bring smiles to your hearts always.

Wow! Our Lord has His plan. Though not always understood by us. Jack was great, such a kind, and wonderful person to visit with. As time goes on and your sorrow and loss lessen, you will find JOY in the fact that Jack is in the loving arms of our Father. All the good memories will come flooding back and this huge smile with cross your face and warm your heart! It is awesome! Please know that all of you are in my heart and my prayers as you journey down this road to recovery. A truly remarkable man rests in peace---no more pain. May God bless and hold each and everyone of you in His loving arms.

My condolences to the entire Pink family for your loss. It seems as the days go by we all experience aging and the voids in which it creates. I can still remember the old neighborhood at a time when it seems none us would grow up. Also a time that now seem so long ago. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Recent events in Jack's life have been very saddening. Elmer and Doug Bruce extend their sympathies and condolences to Jack's extended family. Jack was an excellent father as witnessed by the high quality of his six children. As a grandfather he was enjoyed and revered by his grandchildren. We have lost a respected and admired friend. His friendly smile and greeting will be greatly missed. Jack's decorating talents have made our neighborhood and the world a better place to live. Pleasant memories of Jack will remain with us forever. Rest in peace Jack.

To all that is PINK It all started when my dad met your mom on the way to the bathroom at a Marriage Encounter weekend and since then our two families have enjoyed endless BBQs, pool parties, graduations, weddings, and unfortunately, funerals. It meant so much when Jack and Arveda were there when my mom passed away so suddenly. I’m so sorry I can’t be there for you now. So many wonderful memories from my childhood involve your family. I will always remember Jack truly as the “gentle giant” that you saw too. May you find some comfort knowing that among all the many friends and relatives waiting for Jack in heaven, mom is there too perhaps even on the way to the bathroom!

Arveda and Family, Please forgive me for not being at the visitation and funeral as I was on vacation and only heard of Jack's passing on my return, today. I'm deeply saddened. Jack gave me my start as a designer and he stuck with me through "thick and thin". I owe everything to him. I know that he wasn't in good health, but his death is still a loss that will take time to heal. Over the 20 years that I worked for him, I remember how much he talked about each one of you. He loved you and he was very proud of each of you. With my respects and deepest sympathy, Larry Ertz

My sincerest condolences to the family of John "Jack" Pink. I have fond memories of working with Jack while he was at Amana Appliances. I worked with him and the team at Amana as a design consultant working on a new line of refrigerators for Amana. Shared many laughs with Jack during design reviews and sometimes endured his 'bark' during critiques. He was great to work with and will be missed. Sincerely Tim Nugent
