Connie J. Koecke, 58, of Cedar Rapids, died March 3, 2008 at Manor Care Center after a long illness. Services: 11 am, Thursday, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home by Rev. Rick Gayle. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include her daughter, Stephanie Koecke of Cedar Rapids; 2 brothers, Robert and Steve Kalous both of Cedar Rapids; and 1 sister, Rose Kalous of Iowa City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Brian Kalous; 1 brother, Larry; 2 sisters, Pat and Carol.

Connie Jean Koecke was born November 28, 1949 to Lawrence and Eva Robinson Kalous in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She married Stephen Koecke on August 6, 1977 in Dubuque. They later divorced, but remained good friends. Connie enjoyed shopping, traveling, fishing, and camping. One of her favorite shows was Gunsmoke. She made many friends while being a waitress and bartender.
