Memorial

Iona Link, 78, went to her heavenly home on February 20th from a sudden stroke. Services at 10:30 AM Monday in Calvary Baptist Church. Pastor Jay Jentink will officiate. Graveside services and interment at 1:30 PM Monday in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 2 to 4 PM on Sunday and at the church after 10:00 AM on Monday.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years Victor, daughters, Diana Gary Phelps of Grand Terrace, California, Linda Steve Fisher of Hemet, California, Pamela Carl Rigel of Cedar Rapids, son Max Beth Link of Cedar Rapids, twelve grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. Also survived by two sisters Leota Vern Akers and Leona George Morarie, and one brother Ernie Julie Ohlhauser. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers Allen, Clayton, and Calvin.
Iona was born June 1, 1929, in Kief, North Dakota, the daughter of Martin and Magdalena Ohlhauser. She married Victor Link on March 16, 1947 near Fessenden, North Dakota. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Iona was a loving wife and loved her family unconditionally and treasured her friendships. Her sense of humor, her patience, and her loving personality will be missed by all. She made several heirlooms crocheting, loved her trips to Alaska, Hawaii, and California, camping, her flower gardens, and card parties.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
