My sympathy goes out to Ed and family. I didn't realize that LaVae and I shared a December 28 birthday.I was impressed by how very attentive LaVae was to Ed's needs. She was so friendly to all of Ed's classmates, and she will be missed by all of us at Tommy's. I pray for God to give you strength to tolerate the stress of loss. May you find comfort in sharing your happy memories. Love, and God's Blessings.... Sandee

Dear Ed and Family, My sympathy and prayers. At our monthly Roosevelt breakfast at Tommy's Friday, we questioned, "I wonder where Ed and LaVae are?" They were always there early and sat at the head of the table. We thought maybe the ice had kept them home. We will miss them. May God surround you with His love and peace. Percy

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. LaVae and I were American Legion Auxiliary friends. LaVae always had a smile for everyone and was a dedicated volunteer. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. We're very glad to have known her and blessed to have had her as part of the American Legion Auxiliary.

I've known LaVae through the Iowa Department of the American Legion Auxiliary. We served on a state committee the same time and roomed together in Des Moines for the School of Instruction. She loved her family and the Auxiliary. Always nice to see her at Midwinter and Conventions. She'll be missed. Sincere sympathy to her loved ones & friends.

I was sadden by the notice of her passing. We were both members of the Marion American Legion Aux., and talked about common interest in our families and grandchildren. I loved talking with her. It was a pleasure to know her and she will be missed.

I remember LaVae as she coming up the ranks of the District for the American Legion Auxiliary. LaVae was the district membership while I was Department President. She did a wonderful job as membership. She when on to become a dedicated Second District President. She would come into the office in DesMoines and help put together the material even though it was hard for her to walk around the table so we always found something she could do, if she tired. LaVae was a great gal and I do hope you treasure all your memories as I will of her. Linda Sue Mullen, Department President Of Iowa 2000-2001 American Legion Auxiliary

To Ed and family: We were shocked to hear about LaVae passing. We are in Arizona for the winter season and send you our sincere sympathy. LaVae was a good person and I enjoyed visiting with her at the Shrine Club and the many dimonoes games.
