Wilma F. Jacobs, 81, of the Methwick Community died at St. Lukes Hospital on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008 after a long illness. Private memorial services today at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Jack Kendall will officiate. Entombment at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Scott Martha of Wesley Chapel, Florida and Todd Maureen of Northfield, Illinois; three brothers, Dean, Merle and Vernon Waneta Beasmore all of Lisbon. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Ian, Riley, Shannon and Kevin.
Wilma was born on June 26, 1926 in Lisbon, the daughter of Vernon and Ida Andre Beasmore. She married William H. Jacobs on Sept. 1, 1957 in Lisbon. He died in 1994. Wilma was a bookkeeper at Iowa Electric Light and Power Co. and retired from there after many years of service. She was a member of the Kenwood Park United Methodist Church. Wilma was and avid Iowa Football and Basketball fan; enjoyed walking and especially time spent with her family and friends.
Memorial donations may be given to Camp Tanager in Wilma's name.
