Helen M. Ozburn, 92, of Brighton, Colorado, formerly of Marion, Iowa, died December 24, 2007, at Platte Valley Hospital following an extended illness. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 29, 2007 at Squaw Creek Baptist Church. Pastor Paul Taylor will be officiating. Friends may call Saturday at the church after 1:00 PM. Helen will be laid to rest next to her husband Clement Bud in Springville, Cemetery.

Survivors include her children Marvin R. Darlene Ozburn of Marion, Iowa, Steve D. Ozburn of Englewood, CO, and Colleen M. Leo Dowd of Brighton, CO; daughter in law Dolly D. Clem Ozburn of Galesville, WI; grandchildren Elaine Yanda of Cedar Rapids, Kurt Ozburn of Marion, Chip Kara Graw Ozburn of Chapel Hill, NC, and Dianah Mark Colburn of Galesville, WI; great grandchildren Chuck and Jenna Yanda of Cedar Rapids.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clement Bud, son Clement Ozz, brothers Ralph Ralston, Carroll Dutch Ralston; sisters Eleanor Carpenter, Mary Johnson, Ruth Tucker and Orpha Thomas.

Helen Muriel Ozburn was born October 28, 1915 to Minnie and Ernest Ralston of Center Point, Iowa. She married Clement Bud in Marion, Iowa. She resided in Springville until moving to Marion after retirement to be near their son Marvin and his family. Upon the death of her husband she moved to Onalaska, WI to be near her son Clem Ozz and his family until his death. For the last 2 years she has resided in Brighton, CO near her son Steve and daughter Colleen.

It was with great sadness to Helen that she was preceded in death by many of her dear friends whom she missed so much throughout the years.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to Squaw Creek Baptist Church, or directed to the family.
