James L. Routhe, 65, 4894 Rockcress Ct., Marion died Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at his home following a long illness. Services: 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home on Friday from 5PM to 8PM. Chaplin Jeremy Hudson will officiate.

Surviving in addition to his wife Leonila "Switz" are three sons, James F. Routhe of Marion, Roman L. Routhe Deb of Cedar Rapids and Robert L. Routhe of Hiawatha; three grandchildren, Jamie, McKenzie and Katie; two sisters, Cathy Syferd Tom of Des Moines and Cynthia Baker Topper of Spokane, WA; and five nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

James was born December 11, 1941 in Des Moines the son of Ferol and Vera Rose Routhe. He married Leonila "Switz" Geraldo on June 11, 1964 in the Phillippines. Jim was in route sales and was self-employed as a Red Cap at the Cedar Rapids Airport. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #788 and the American Legion Hanford Post #5. He served in the U.S. Air Force. Jim loved sports of all kinds, especially the Iowa Hawkeyes, the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears. He also was a tremendous bowler
