Myrtle I. Ozburn, 89, of Marion, died December 1, 2007 at St. Luke's Hospital following an extended illness. Funeral Services 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Rev. William B. Harnish will officiate. Friends may call at the Chapel after 12:00 PM on Tuesday. Interment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Survivors include a son Reginald Eberle and wife Veronica, a daughter JoAnn Bleadorn and husband Dean, and a step daughter Sharon Grundy and husband Bill all of Marion; sister Vivian Park of Cedar Rapids; brothers Don Ellison and wife Charlene of Anamosa, Orpha Ellison of Marion, Bill Ellison of Onslow, Walter Ellison and wife Dixie of Martell; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Reginald L. Eberle, her second husband Jack D. Ozburn, daughter Sylvia Ozburn, grandson Mark Grundy, great grandson Andrew, and her brother George Ellison.

Myrtle Irene Ozburn was born January 4, 1918 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the beloved daughter of Orpha C. and Bertha Coster Ellison. She was united in marriage to Jack D. Ozburn on April 19, 1947 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was employed for 29 years at Collins Radio as a machinist. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary. She enjoyed quilting, crossword puzzles, and over the last few years watching out her picture window and greeting all that passed by. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many and will be greatly missed by those whose life she touched.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Myrtle's honor may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
