Elaine Delores Novak, 84, of Methwick Woodlands, died there Wednesday, November 6, 2007 following a long illness. Services: 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home on Friday from 4PM to 7PM. The Rev. Jim Bonewald will officiate.
Survivors include three sons, Tom Novak Donna of Monroe City, MO, Patrick Novak Julie of Cedar Rapids and John Novak Marsha of Solvang, CA; and five grandchildren, Jeff, Michelle, Laura, Emily and Sarah.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Joseph in 1975; a sister, Doris Lanphere and a brother, Don Holsapple.
Elaine was born May 16, 1923 in Davenport the daughter of Earl and Wilma Durbin Holsapple. She married Joseph John Novak on September 8, 1947 in Cedar Rapids. He died in November 1975. She worked for 22 years at Boyson Jewelers. She was a member of Knox United Presbyterian Church and the Audubon Society.
