Isabelle C. Turbett, 95, of Tama, died September 18, 2007 at Manor Care Center, Cedar Rapids, following an extended illness. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Oak Hill Cemetery in Tama, Iowa. Arrangements entrusted to Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Survivors include daughter Shirley A. Johnston and husband Lyle of Hiawatha, sister Ann Murray and husband Harold of Waterloo, sister Shirley Melugin of Fredericksburg, as well as 3 grand daughters, and 7 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harold, her parents, and 4 brothers and 1 sister.

Isabelle Carleen Turbett was born July 14, 1912 in Fredericksburg, Iowa, the beloved daughter of John and Rosa Hruska Mikes. She was united in marriage to Harold G. Turbett on August 26, 1933 in Waterloo. For 33 years she was a partner with her husband at Turbett Insurance in Tama. She played an integral role in the success of the business. She was a member of the Tama Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Isabelle's name to Camp Courageous, or the charity of the donor's choice.
