I met Tom Lilly Sr. when my sister Sissy married Tom many years ago. I was immediately impressed with his kindness and his sense of humor - there was nothing like hearing the "Mr. Lilly laugh". His salsa was legendary, and bringing back jars of it on the plane to New York was always a challenge - even before 9/11. I have Mexican friends here who swear it's the best salsa they've ever had. He was a good and kind man, and it was a priviledge to know him. May he rest in peace.

My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Lilly family. I have many fond memories of Mr. Lilly from high school with Jeff, both related to sports and just from being over at the Lilly's on a weekend night. Mr. Lilly was one of those fun parents to be around and talk to. I'm confident he will continue to watch over his family with the same pride and guidance he showed through out his life. God bless him!

My father and I had the privalage to to go fishing with Tom Lilly and his son Tom a number of years ago and to this day will never forget the trip. It is not every son that is fortunate to be able to go fishing with his father as we grow older; I enjoyed many such trips with my dad for years and I know Tom and his son truely enjoyed their trip to Canada. Great company, too much food and adult beverages, cards oh, did I mention we fished too! Most of my memories of Tom surround this trip to Canada; I didn't believe that his son would ever get Tom Sr. away from his home and garden. How could he possibly abandon his tomatos, onions and peppers for an entire week! Would this impact the harvest for the salsa crop? By the way, Best damn salsa I have EVER eaten, PERIOD!!! We stayed at the Sunset Resort in Northern Ontario; I don't remember if this was Tom's first trip to Canada... I'm pretty certain he enjoyed his trip based on number, and size of the fish he caught routinely. I will always remember fondly Tom's great laugh... you know, "Ha... HA... HA" in that slow, deep special voice. sorry my type simply does not do it justice I still have great photos of this trip, great memories that will last me the rest of my life. Mr Lilly, you will be missed but never forgotten. Thanks for sharing time with my dad and I. Tom Bliss & Family
