Rex R. Rohrer, 89, died Tuesday August 7, 2007 in his home from a long illness. Services: 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Cedar Memorial-Westside Chapel by the Rev. William Harnish. Burial: I00F Cemetery in Victor. Friends may call at the funeral home after 9 a.m.
Survivors include a daughter, Pamela and husband Gary; a son, Randall; three grandchildren, Adam and wife, Becky, Stephanie and Sam; and 3 great grandchildren. Kaitlyn, Kenzie, and Khloe.
He was preceded in death by his wife Pauline.
Rex was born June 16, 1918 in Victor, Iowa and was the son of Charles and Edna Rohrer. He married Pauline Connell on April 13, 1940 in Iowa City. He and his wife operated Roller Drome Skating Rinks in Cedar Rapids and Marion, and later was involved at Super Skate with his wife, daughter and son-in-law. After retiring from the skating rinks he worked with his son at Ornamental Concrete. He will be remembered by the countless people he met through his life's journey.
