My thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time. Thank you for allowing us at Village Ridge to be a part of Mary's life. She was an amazing woman and impacted our lives in the time we knew her. We will never forget her.

I have lost a very dear friend. Mary and I met at Life Investors and maintained a friendship for 40 years. My annual trips to Cedar Rapids always included a visit with Mary, the last one just a month ago at the Living Center. I will always remember my friend for her sense of humor and great stories. Her enthusiasm for life in general was contagious. Visits were always fun and full of laughter. She was so proud of her family…her children and grandchildren. Last Christmas she included with her card a picture of her grandchildren and notes on what each one was doing. My heartfelt condolences to her family for I know you have lost someone very special.

I only knew Mary for a short time, but was able to get a glimmer of the strong, lively, independent woman she had been. Her family meant the world to her. Her eyes would light us as she talked about each of you. May your memories of Mary comfort you in the weeks ahead. Thank you for allowing us to care for Mary during her stay at Village Ridge.

Scott, Ron, Jock and families, I was very sorry to have read about your mom! I remember Mary Helen and Don as being part of the "links" at Elmcrest for many, many years. It was a rare occasion when I would not see them during my outings and always enjoyed their love of the game! My thoughts are sure with you guys. You can most always understand what parents were like when you see how their "kids" turned out. Your parents did well!! Kindest regards, Gary Lacock
