Rosemarie Louise Allan
Rose Marie and I worked together in the ESC Building. I first met her as a young girl. 32 years ago when I married she shared stories and advice with me. When I went to work in the Payroll Dept. she was always kind to me. Rose Marie was smart and beautiful and funny. Her wonderful laughter would help make the dreariest day sweet. I loved hearing her talk of her love for HER family. RoseMarie was so giving of her time in listening to myself and others problems and trials. One of my twin daughters is named Rosa Rosy Marie after Rose Marie Allan. I was searching for a second girl name having a family name already for first girl, handing out timesheets realized the perfect name was right there next to me all along. That was 26 years ago. Rosy Marie is 25 years old now. When Rose Marie Allan left the school district it was a devastating blow to me. I loved her so. Boston born and bred she was a real lady. Rose Marie I am lucky to have known you. God bless you and the family. When an angel whispers to you When her breath warms your cheek When an angel passes through you That love is for keeps When a star is in heaven And it’s glow cannot be stopped When a star up in heaven Holds you spellbound In its’ light When it’s shining and you feel it The connection up above Close your eyes and say a silent prayer And know I send you my love I will wrap you in my memory I will hold you with my smile You will know I am with you Even when the heartache does subside For now You can feel me You can know my last kiss And always always with you In your love I always live. When an angel whispers to you When her breath warms your cheek When an angel passes through you That love is for keeps written by Cheryl E. Martinez Cedar Rapids Community Schools Payroll Dept.

I did not know Rosemarie well, but her daughter Jean is my best friend, and through Jean's memories, I have learned that she was a very special, smart, and lovely woman. I've sent Rosemarie a card with a different photo of Boston, the Charles River, Harvard, and the Back Bay every week since she got sick and I'm glad they made her smile. I'd like to share this verse with Jean and all of Rosemarie's loved ones... Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am a diamond glint on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle Autumn rain. When you wake in the morning hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circling flight, I am the soft star shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there...I did not die. --Susan Goldman
