Evelyn B. Vavrichek, 95, of Living Center West died there on Tuesday May 8, 2007 after a long illness. Services at 11 AM on Monday at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Burial at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 2 to 4 PM on Sunday.

Survivors include a niece, Gayle Klouda of Iowa City, two nephews, Wayne Vavrichek of Seattle, Washington and Bruce Vavrichek of Silver Spring, Maryland, a sister-in-law, Louise Vavrichek of Iowa City, three grand nieces and three grand nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Clare and Leo Vavrichek.

Evelyn was born on June 1, 1911 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Lewis and Tillie Witousek Vavrichek. Evelyn was a clerk at Montgomery Ward and later at Killians, retiring from there after several years of service. Memorial donations may be given to Hospice of Mercy in Evelyn's name.
