Minnie Louise Oakley, 83, formerly of 1371 19th Ave SW died Monday, April 9, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center following a long illness. Services: 1:00 P.M. Friday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday from 6PM to 8PM. The Rev. Richard Ernst will officiate.

Surviving are a daughter, Rosie Grady Bob of Cedar Rapids; a son John Oakley Mary Jo of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren, Jeffery Grady Roxy, Jason Grady Shawn Beldon Doug Oakley Carrie Bascom and Rebecca Oakley; seven great grandchildren, Ryan, Logan and Gage Grady, Lauren Oakley, Brody and Gavin Bascom, and Kaylah Hendrichs; a sister, Donna Bell of Cedar Rapids; and two brothers, Henry Stahr of Cedar Rapids and Ervin Stahr of North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert in 2005, a brother and a sister.

Minnie was born September 27, 1923 in Hopkinton the daughter of Henry and Hazel Davis Stahr. She married Robert C. Oakley on April 20, 1944 in Marion. Minnie enjoyed crocheting and many other hobbies. She loved her family, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Mercy.

Minnie's family would like to extend a special thank you to the 8th floor at Mercy Medical Center and to Hospice of Mercy.
