Delight Marvel Niehaus, 82, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Harrah, OK, died April 4, 2007 at Living Center East following an extended illness. Private Family Services will be held at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home. Private family interment: Parkersburg Cemetery, Parkersburg, Iowa.

Survivors include daughters Karen Ferry and husband Dennis of Cedar Rapids, Marvel Watts and husband Vernon of St. Louis, MO, Cheryl Osweiler and husband Timothy of Cedar Rapids, Tonya Henricks of Longview, WA; and one son Merle Niehaus of Harrah, OK. Also surviving are her 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Everett Gray and Delbert M. Niehaus, brothers Leland Dellinger, Russell Dellinger, and Ralph Dellinger; and one sister Luella Lorenz.

Delight Marvel Niehaus was born February 21, 1925 in Shellrock, Iowa, the beloved daughter of David and Dena Kramer Dellinger. She married Everett Gray in 1946, whom had preceded her in death. She married Delbert M. Niehaus in 1964 in Galena, IL. She was a 1964 graduate of Gates Business College. She was a realtor in Waterloo, and for the majority of her career she spent with her children in the family home. Delight loved gardening, crafts, painting, crocheting, and most of all her family. She will always be remembered for being a loving mother, grandmother, and friend, and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
