Mavis Marie Erceg

Hi Mavis or Miki as I grew up knowing her was a next door neighbor. I remember spending time with her and "joe" in their garden. My favorite was the willow tree they had planted. I am sorry for your loss and hope that the good memories will last. sincerely Sara Mizner

My best memories of Aunt Mavis was when she was on the farm. She was very vibrant and seemed to be able to do anything. I am sorry to hear the last few years she wasn't doing very well as she was always so full of life. I would much rather remember her that way. Steve and I want to express our deepest sympathies to you and your families. Becky

I have known Mavis for over ten years. She called us almost daily at the Hiawatha Public Library. She had a brilliant mind and I will miss her a lot. Her last few weeks were, I think, some of her happiest. She got great pleasure being with her family at the end. I'm glad I had the chance to know her. She was proud of her kids and grandkids -- remember that and try to keep her memory alive.
