Leora L. York, 92, of 1016 34th Street NE, died at home Sunday, November 5, 2006, after a long illness. Graveside Services: Wednesday at Oak Hill Cemetery by Rev. Brian Fink of the River of Life Worship Center. Turner West is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include a daughter, C. Virginia Lindeman of Cedar Rapids; and three sons, James Jennie York of Reston, VA, Richard Maggie York of Cedar Rapids, and Carson York of Tucson, AZ.; 11 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Leora was preceded in death by her brother, Elmer Waller and a sister, Sylvia Waltz.

Leora was born August 5, 1914 in Cedar Rapids to Raymond and Goldie McNabb Waller. She married James C. York there on January 5, 1931. He died in 1965. Leora worked at the Meth-Wick community for many years.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for Hospice of Mercy. The family would like to thank Hospice of Mercy for their exceptional care, kindness and support.
