Janice M. Irons, 66, 417 Elder Lane NW died Thursday, September 14, 2006 at St. Luke's Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. Services: 2:00 P.M. Monday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 3PM to 7PM on Sunday. The Rev. William Harnish will officiate.
Survivors include her husband Chuck; two daughters, Debbie Goodsman Keith of Dallas, TX and Kim Novak Michael of Palo; a son, Rod Irons Amy of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren, Chelsea and Austin Goodsman, Tiffany and Brandon Novak and Caitlyn Irons; her mother, Velva Moorman of Manchester; three brothers, Daryl Moorman of Opelika, AL, Roger Moorman of Lamont, and Bruce Moorman of Manchester; and a sister, Georgia Jones of Manchester.
She was preceded in death by her father Harold, and her father-in-law Harold Irons.
Janice was born July 22, 1940 in Manchester, the daughter of Harold and Velva Pohlman Moorman. She married Charles Edward Irons on October 20, 1957 in Elkader. She enjoyed scrapbooking and she loved gardening. Janice was a homemaker through and through. She was a great and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
A memorial fund has been established.
