Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. Theresa's life was a blessing to all who had the joy to meet her. She loved and cared for her family very much. To all of us that had the opportunity to get to know her, our lives are better for that. She helped me in every way possible as I went through my transplant, and I could never thank her enough for her caring and compassion. We can all do now, what she wanted us to do. Pass on what she has given us. Theresa, we will remember you always, and love you forever. GREENIE

I have always had such admiration for Theresa - following her footsteps at Mercy was a big challenge, and I am grateful for the groundwork in Wellness that Theresa laid at Mercy, and the leadership that she took within the community. Theresa was a colleague, and she will be greatly missed.

Kirk and family, I knew Theresa as a colleague and consultant. We often referred clients to one another and gave motivational presentations sometimes just to each other! I loved her for her passion, commitment, integrity, wit, and ability to maintain balance in her life. I know that I am a healthier, happier person because I was touched by her humor and wisdom. The greatest gift in life, I believe, is to make a positive contribution and leave the world a better place. Theresa did! I'll miss her. My prayers and thoughts are with you. In time, may all of the wonderful memories bring you peace. God bless!

I met Theresa at the beginnings of PWN. Her enthusiasm was what this organization needed. She did everything "right." Ate healthy, exercised, pursued her many interests with vigor. Was it environment, genetics, bad luch? What went wrong. We need better research. Througbout her illness, Theresa was able to see her children grow and be with her husband, extended family and friends. She showed us what "wellness" really means. She will be remembered in the hearts and minds of all those who loved and knew her. May she rest in peace.

Kirk with a "K", I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your wife and mother of your children. What a beautiful writeup in the Courier. She must have touched many lives and her accomplishments sounded very successful. I feel unfortunate that I did not get to know her as we all need people like her in our lives. I am sorry that she had to indure a long battle, as well as you and your children did. My prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. Kirk, I am so sorry for you loss. Even though you don't know me, I know exactly how you feel! My wife Wendy passed away a little more than a month before Theresa. Wendy and Theresa met each other professionally, back when Iowa Electric Alliant Energy predecssor was setting up its wellness program and became friends. I remember seeing Theresa a couple of years ago when Wendy and I were at Mayo. I believe it was after she had had her transplant and she look terrific. Wendy and I were both saddened to hear in the past months that Theresa wasn't doing well. May God bless you and watch out for you and your daughters.

Claire & Maggie- I am a old friend of your Dad's... Our thoughts and prayers are with you now, and down the road, as you learn to live with your loss. I recall how vibrant, healthy and active your Mom was. One of the last times I recall seeing her was running into her and your Dad in Sutliff along the Cedar River. They were doing a marathon, and had one of you in a running carriage to take you along. That was probably Clair. Quite a long time ago... We, too, had a recent loss. My largest comfort is still the memories. Secondly, the belief that God picks the strongest to prep Heaven for the rest of us. Thirdly, knowing so many folks out there care for you, and pray for you. Take care of yourselves, and your Dad. Together, you are stronger, and will find your way through this.
