Mary Virginia Ginny Jacobs

My dear Jacobs family, I haven't kept in touch with Ginny over the years but she was in my thoughts and prayers on a regular basis. Your mom was a wonderful and loving person. I enjoyed cleaning for her when she was at work, some how this was to show her how much I appreciated her and her kindness. I will always remember her calling me 'baby girl', even after not seeing her for several years. I will also remember her love for music; The Notre Dame fight song, Frank Sinatra and the harp. Four kids later and being older, I too reap the solitude of Franks voice and appreciate the beauty of the harp. And when ever I hear the mighty Notre Dame song, Jake and Ginny will be in my thoughts. Many memories were made at the Jacobs house; the basement FILLED with the picturesque lives of her children, Jake's love for friends, golf, and hunting, his dogs slobbering all over me : MANY joyous gatherings, my 16th birthday party, and homecoming. Most of all Ginny made her house a loving home for her family. It was very obvious, she loved you all SO very much. May you all be comforted with the many condolences and memories from all of her friends and family. I pray that God our Heavenly Father will help you through this time of loss, and shower His great compassion upon all of you. I will miss her very much!!! Candace Chadima Warder

Jacobs Family How special you all are. We feel so blessed to have had such a valuable friend like Ginny. We miss her and know we will continue to do so, but take real comfort in all our wonderful memories. Summer was always so much fun with Ginny, Jake and the "kids". Of course,, Ginny being the cook she was, always brought the food. Our "Special" dinners that we shared after Jake passed, we will always remember. Our prayer is for God's blessings on each one of you as you go through this very difficult time. All our love, Don, Sue Meek

Our condolences go out to the members of Ginny's family. We remember Ginny as a vivacious and fun-loving neighbor. Her home was always open for a friendly visit. Ginny was also a generous and trustworthy friend. Her granddaughters were welcome to come over and play with my daughters any time and vice versa. The Jacob homestead was always a bustle of activity and We feel blessed to have been accepted and treated so kindly by her family members. Ginny, we will miss you here on earth, but will see you again soon.

Dear Jacobs Family, I will miss Ginny very much. What an incredible lady! I will always cherish the memories of Ginny, Jake and the entire Jacobs family spending summers at our pool in CR. So many memories! Even though I moved far away from home to NYC, Ginny always stayed an important part of my life. I was so touched by how interested and how much she cared about what may be going on in my life even though I was so very far away. Ginny came to NY for my first wedding and was there for my parents, listening, when I went through my painful divorce. My parents and I were so fortunate that she was always there to ...listen. But also...always there to lend laughter. Most recently I married the love of my life and feel so very blessed. I am so happy that my parents had the most fortunate opportunity to have dinner with Ginny following the wedding and tell her how very happy and blessed I now am. God bless Ginny!!!! A true lady!!! Amazing mother, grandmother and friend!!! We are all truly blessed to have been a part of her life. Much love to the entire Jacobs family, Kathy

Jacob's family As a friend of Julie's, I took a family picture for Ginny many years ago. The picture is a great tribute to your parents, as it clearly reflects the love and fullness of your family! Ginny was a great lady who opened her home and welcomed the many friends her kids brought home. I was honored to be one of those friends who got to know the family! I am sorry that I missed the funeral, just learning of Ginny's passing today. Ginny was a very special lady!

My name is Pat Garvey Smith and my mother and father lived next door to Jake and Henrietta on Crimson Drive. Ginny and Jake were also good friends with my sister, Gerry Gavin, died in 1978. I was very fond of Ginny and we had many talks years ago when Henrietta was ill. My aunt Gerry Herron is alive and well at 94 in Phoenix Anthem is in Phoenix and I talk to her everyday. She cried when I told her Ginny had died - she also cared a lot for her. Ruby Gunther, Henrietta, my mom and Aunt Gerry had some real good times together. My prayers are with you.
