What shock to hear about Geno! The family has my sincere sympathy.I met Geno about a year ago when I joined the Dirt Surfers ATV club. I had the privelage to ride with him and others in the club several times. I looked forward to the ATV club newsletter that he helped put out. Geno will be greatly missed by many. I was glad to have known him. Sincerely, Woody

Hey Geno, Randy here. Just wanted to jot a few things down for your family to let them know what you meant to me: When I first met you, I was looking for someone to help me fight the city of cedar rapids for their injustice of my right to ride on the ice at mohawk park. You did that and more by sticking your neck out way past the boundries of what most long term freinds would do. You quickly became a big brother to me over and above what any other would have done. We definetly put them in their place with the help of your freind, attorney Gordon Gibson. We done it Geno, and thanks to you too Becky for your help in gathering the legal paperwork and support for the fight. I'll never forget the meeting at Denny's one night when you asked if anyone had any questions and my son Jake asked: "when do we eat" Everyone got a good laugh out of that one. That little 4 year old had us all spliting a gut. Everytime I make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich I'll remember all the ones we ate together at John Tuttle's riding area. Everytime I pick up a chain saw,I'll think of all the trees we cut together at John's making new trails and clearing the old ones. Remember the time I tried to pass you on the trail and cover you up in mud? Well I almost got the job done, and after that, you never gave me the chance to get that close to you again. Thanks for all the machine tools you had your freind sharpen for me,and the good junk you dug out of the dumpster for me, to use in my shop at home. Thanks for the countless hours of time you gave me, teaching me the specifics of electrical technology that I needed and was lacking so much on.I'll truly miss you there, and everytime I get myself in that position I'll be wishing you were still here to help me, and catch up on what you've been doing lately. Thanks for helping me build the rotary phase converter in my garage, and watch over me as I try to figure out the other one we never got a chance to finish.I'll be thinking of you every minute I work at trying to figure that one out. Thanks for all the good times we had on the ice and all the rides we challenged our skills together at John's. Boy, those were sure good times. You will truly make an empty void in my heart, but the memories will be an eternity. Till we meet again Geno, godspeed. Your freind and brother, Randy

My sympathy goes out to "Geno's" family. He was a really neat guy. I only got to ride with him once last fall in Waterloo but I felt like I knew him forever. I had kept in touch through e-mails this winter and had hoped to hit the trails with him a time or two this summer. He has done a lot to promote the ATV's and Parks in Iowa and his family should be proud of his accomplishments that he helped get done on both a local and state level. He will not be forgotten.
