Eileen Opal Oliphant
To Eileen's family... I volunteered with Eileen at St. Lukes when I was younger and valued my time with her. Every Sunday, I would have lunch with both she and Paul and enjoyed the conversations that I had with them. Cherish the memories that you have of her and the time you had with her. I know Eileen spoke so much about Paula and Jessica and loved you both so much. I know that she is happier now that she is not in pain and has joined Paul again. May she rest in peace.

Dear Paula and family. Was sorry to read about Eileen. We were friends since the 40's. Did not see each other as often as I would have liked, but our lives took different paths. Never forgot the fun times we had together. Always kept in contact with Christmas cards, however. She was a very sweet person and I loved her very much. She and Paul had a wonderful life and many unique experiences. My legs don't work very well, so won't make it to the service, but will be thinking of everyone.

Mrs. Oliphant was my teacher in 3rd Grade many years ago at Tyler Elementary. I still talk about her to this day as my favorite teacher of all time. I don't remember many teachers but I have never forgot her and how wonderful she was. We had a grocery store in the neighborhood of the school and I always remember her stopping with her classes when they went on walks or field trips. I have always wondered through the years what happened to her. She was a wonderful woman and I am sure you will miss her very much. My condolences to your family.

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I had Mrs. Oliphant for my 6th grade teacher at Grant Elementary. She was my favorite teacher of all my school years. She was so kind, spunky, fun and most of all caring. I just wanted to extend my condolences to your family. I will never forget her. Debbie Maher George

Your mother was a wonderful lady. I had her as my teacher at Tyler school for 3 years, so i got to know her well. I remember how she always wore her hair, how her nails were always polished a dark maroon color with sparkles in it. How she would roll a pencil in her hands so it would click on her rings. She would play Burl Ives on the record player in the class room. I still think of her whenever i hear Burl Ives. She always decorated the class room with colorful scenes, and i do the same in my home on holidays. She was the head of the schools SAFETY PATROL program. I was involved with the program & and in the 6th grade i won a trip to the Wisconsin Dells for being the best captain. Wonder if she had anything to do with that?? haha Probably. My mom always said i was her class pet. She would talk to me about her husband & daughter. She was proud of them. To me she was someone i will never forget. I am very sorry to hear she has left us, but she certainly touched a lot of lives while she was here.

I remember Eileen from her volunteer activities with the Tauke campaign for Congress. She could always be counted on for her help and assistance. She was indeed a very special person.
