Anne Marie Valliere, 33 of Chicago, Illinois and a former resident of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday at the home of her parents in Cedar Rapids, following a courageous battle with cancer. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at the St. Matthew's Catholic Church by Rev. Mark Osterhaus officiating. Interment: Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, where a vigil service will be given at 7 p.m.

Surviving are her parents, Richard and Mary Elizabeth Liz Valliere of Cedar Rapids, brother, Mark and wife Susie and children, David, Renee and Michael of Rock Island, brother, James and wife Marcene and their children Joshua, Jennifer, Justin Valliere and Shana and Christopher Tolley of Hiawatha, a brother, John and wife Tammy and their child Carter of Park View, Iowa, and a sister, Lisa Pfeiffer and husband Bob and their children, B.J., Beth, and Brody of Cedar Rapids, aunts and uncles, Paul and Frances Valliere of Cedar Rapids, John and Frances Hennessey of Cedar Rapids, Robert and Rita Hennessey of Marion and William and Mary Hennessey of Marion.

Her sister, Rose Marie, preceded her in death.

Anne was born on July 13, 1968 in Cedar Rapids and graduated from Regis High School in 1986 and St. Ambrose University in 1990. She was working at the Ancona School Society, Inc. in Chicago as a physical education teacher, athletic director and coach of several sports.

Many near and far have been blessed with the gift of Anne's love and friendship. Her bright smile and contagious or heartfelt laugh would brighten any occasion. The words she embraces Live, Love and Laugh have touched us all forever.
