Claudia Elizabeth Taylor, 71, of Cedar Rapids, passed away May 2, 2024,  from complications of Alzheimer’s Disease and Vascular Dementia.  A Celebration of Life will be held Friday May 10th at 10 am, First Congregational Church, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. 

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Paul Taylor.  Three daughters: Andrea, Elizabeth and Stephanie all of Cedar Rapids.  Four Grandchildren: Natalie Vos ( Ankeny),  Trent Vos,  Cecilia Smith, and Keegan Seeley ( all of Cedar Rapids) , a brother Tom Wortman ( Cedar Rapids), many nieces and nephews , and her beloved cat Willie. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, three siblings : Jane Jeffries, Julie Dyson, and David Wortman.  

She was born to George and Helen Wortman in Cedar Rapids on December 31, 1952.  Claudia was a graduate of Kennedy High School (1971) and Kirkwood Community College.  She worked as a post -partum LPN at St. Luke’s for 35 years.  Claudia and her sister Julie Dyson volunteered for the Robins fire department for many years.  She was an active member of First Congregational Church for 48 years and served as a member of the diaconate.  

The Family wishes to thank the staff of Northbrook Manor and Unity Point Hospice of the wonderful care they gave to Claudia.
