My sympathy to the Nemecek family on Bob’s passing. I met Bob through Model UN and global institutes at the U of Iowa and thoroughly enjoyed our time together. He was a kind and friendly person who had a positive impact on his students.

Mr. Nemecek was always such a kind and patient teacher and I feel honored to have been a student in one of his classes at Kennedy. He had a wonderful sense of humor which was appreciated by many. Sorry to hear of Bob's passing. My condolences to his family. Went to high school with Bob at Cedar Rapids Regis. He was a good person and friend at Regis. And thank you for your service ????

So sorry to learn of Bob's passing this AM. I went to Regis with him and he was a friend. The best thing I can say about him is he was a nice guy. My prayers and thoughts are with the family. BOB HOLLEY

Mr. Nemecek was my teacher at Washington and I was part of Model UN. I have fond memories of him driving us to Des Moines and all the laughs we had along the way. His memory always brings a smile to my face.

Mr. Nemecek was an outstanding teacher at Jefferson High School. I was fortunate to be in the social studies department with him and his calm ways of discussing issues in education. He was awesome!

I was a student in one of Mr. Nemecek’s social studies classes at Jefferson High School. A very kind man whose extensive knowledge shined through in his teaching. We loved how he’d refer to us students during his lectures as “my friendly scholars” A good man gone too soon. Sincere condolences to his loved ones. RIP Mr. Nemecek

I was fortunate to teach across the hall from Bob at Jefferson from 2002-2006. As was mentioned previously, he was genuinely nice man. I ran into him from time to time at various events after his retirement and I always enjoyed catching up with him. My condolences to his family.
