Todd graduated from Cedar Rapids Washington High School in 1987.  Todd worked at Menards for 33 years, and most recently at Suburban Lumber Company for  the past eight years. Todd loved his time at Suburban, where his coworkers became like family. His entire career was spent as a forklift operator, taking good care of customers and delivery drivers. Todd married his soulmate and best friend, Leslie (Lamphier), on October 18, 1997.  Together they had two sons, Shane and Aidan.  He was a wonderful role model and his sons’ biggest fan, always supporting and encouraging them. Todd was the hardest working person to all who knew him. Todd loved all things outdoors, tinkering in the garage, keeping his lawn and garden meticulous, and going golfing. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the memories he made on his fishing trips to  Canada, Iowa, and Wisconsin with his boys and his cousin, Larry. Todd also took pride in his talent as a grill master. He loved all things Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Bears &  Cubs, and the Indiana Fever.  Todd was extremely giving of his time and talents, and always helping others, including his neighbors when in need of an extra hand.  Above all, Todd loved spending time with his family. He cherished the relationships he had with each of them and the memories they made together.
