Sharyl J. Beauregard, 81, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away peacefully September 9, 2026, surrounded by family in her residence at West Ridge Care Center. A private family graveside service will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Garden of Tranquility.

Sharyl was born February 17, 1945, in Venice, Florida, the first child of Virgil and Zelda (Ebsen) Eckley. She graduated from Jefferson High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Sharyl was united in marriage to Ronald Beauregard on September 12,1964, in Cedar Rapids. The couple spent time in California and Germany while Ron was in the service but settled back in Cedar Rapids where they built their life and raised their family. Sharyl began her career working as a nurse technician for Dr. Wright in Marion, Iowa. Upon embracing the role of motherhood, she devoted her time to her husband and children. She was an active parent serving on the PTA, and helping to lead Blue Birds and Campfire groups. Sharyl later re-entered the workforce holding various secretarial positions at Telecom/MCI and the Cedar Rapids Public Library.

A lifelong member of First Lutheran Church, Sharyl shared and encouraged her faith with family and friends. Sharyl had an infectious laugh, and she could talk your ear off. She really enjoyed meeting new people, watching movies, shopping, traveling, reading and most of all, spending time with family.

Sharyl was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ron; and brothers Doug and Kevin Eckley. She is survived by her loving family: son, Lance (Hilary) Beauregard and grandchildren Addison and Jace, all of Fairfax, Iowa, daughter Kelli (Shawn)Schuch of Cedar Rapids; Sister, Vicki (Paul) Johanns of Cedar Rapids: Nephews, Brad (Becky) Eckley of Shueyville; Bryan (Martha) Eckley of Cedar Rapids; and Devin Miller of Napa, California; Great nephew Josh (Bailey) Eckley of Alburnett and Great Niece, Hannah (Rhett) Ruzicka of San Diego California.

The family extends its deepest appreciation to the caregivers and staff of West Ridge Care Center and the staff of Unity Point Hospice for the care, compassion and support they provided to Sharyl and her family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
